Beach Cleaning Thursday July 28 6:15 pm POP Yacht Club

Our next beach cleaning is Thursday July 28 6:15 pm Point of Pines Yacht Club parking lot, bring gloves and wear appropriate footwear. We will provide garbage bags and will have bottled water at the end of the cleanup at Chamberlain Ave.

Child Admission includes a sword, eye patch, face painting, pirate games, activities, snacks, and more.

Time to Pirate Up! There will be prizes for best Kid and Best Adult Costume.

Beach Cleaning Saturday Morning 7AM

There will be a Beach cleaning this Saturday morning 7AM starting at the Point of Pines Yacht Club and again Tuesday evening starting at 7PM to collect any debris left over from the Fourth of July weekend. Please wear appropriate clothing and gloves. See you there!

Beach Cleaning and other Upcoming Events

This Thursday, June 16th we will be having a Thursday evening Beach Clean Up for anyone interested in joining us. We will start at the Point of Pines Yacht Club parking lot at 7:00 pm. The city is able to pick up any debris we have collected the following morning.
This Saturday, June 18th is the Beautify Revere 2016 event at Gibson Park at 9:45 am. Elle Baker will help organize the volunteers into groups to focus on areas including: Gibson Park, the underpass graffiti area, Mills Avenue & here on Rice Avenue. This neighborhood group event is scheduled from (9:45 am to 12 pm.)
On Tuesday, June 21st  there is a meeting of the Alliance for Health and Environment. Dr. Paul Connett will be speaking about the (RESCO) Wheelabrator's ash dump expansion plans. Dr. Connett last visited Saugus 30 years ago and he inspired Saugus to demand scrubbers to be installed at the RESCO (now Wheelabrator) incinerator to better protect our health and environment. This meeting is being held at the Saugus Town Hall Auditorium from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Light refreshments will be served.

Our next beach cleaning is Saturday June 4 at 7am Point of Pines Yacht Club parking lot, bring gloves and wear appropriate footwear. We will provide garbage bags and we have some gloves; bottled water at the end of the cleanup at Chamberlain Ave.
